WASHING AND MAINTAINING TEXTILE MOTORCYCLE CLOTHING
Let's start with the conclusion for a change. Washing textile motorcycle clothing is a piece of cake. The end...
Just kidding! On to the piece of cake part then. This is because you can easily carry out preventive maintenance on textile motorcycle clothing. You do this by spraying it or washing it in the washing machine once in a while. This creates a dirt-resistant layer, the textile stays clean longer and the membrane stays waterproof longer.
TIPS BEFORE YOU WASH YOUR TEXTILE MOTORCYCLE CLOTHING
First things first! It is very important that you remove the protection first before you wash your motorcycle clothing. This sits in a protection pocket and can usually be removed via a velcro opening on the inside of the jacket or trousers. If this doesn't work you can turn the trouser legs or jacket sleeves inside out. Is your waterproof membrane removable? Then unzip it. Once the protectors and any removable membrane have been removed then you can brush off the stubborn dirt from the motorcycle clothing using a soft brush.

THE TEXTILE MOTORCYCLE CLOTHING WASHING TIPS
A textile motorcycle jacket or trousers can be cleaned by hand or in the washing machine with a no-spin programme. Essentially, do not wash above 30 degrees and select a short programme. Side-note: don't forget to zip out the removable membrane! And never use washing detergent to wash your textile motorcycle clothing. For the best result first wash the motorcycle clothing with motorcycle clothing washing detergent. For the best result treat the motorcycle clothing with an impregnating agent which restores the waterproof and dirt-shedding action of the outer layer again.

TIPS AFTER WASHING YOUR TEXTILE MOTORCYCLE CLOTHING
Allow your motorcycle clothing to dry at room temperature in a dry space. A heated room or wringing out the clothing during the drying is definitely not recommended for the condition of the textile. Impregnate the textile motorcycle clothing around every 2000 kilometres ridden using an impregnating spray. In this way you can be sure that your motorcycle clothing will stay clean and dry for longer!
